Let me share some exciting news to you all, as Dr Dean Lomax who as you know is the lead scientist for the ‘Rutland Sea Dragon’ will present a short film about this ground breaking discovery for the The One Show.
For those in the UK, be sure to tune in and check it out this WEDNESDAY at 7pm on BBC One. Dean tells us to “consider this a little taster of where we are up to and what is to come. It is a huge project and one that will take time to reveal all its secrets.”
The 10-metre-long ichthyosaur skeleton discovered at Rutland Water Nature Reserve by Joe Davis, who is the head of reserve management at Leicestershire & Rutland Wildlife Trust.
Dean also tells us that –
“It was great to film with Joe and Nigel Larkin (who with Dean led the excavation of the Rutland Ichthyosaur) and the Manchester Museum, along with some cool footage from ThinkSee3D. And it was nice to be back on The One Show with a special thanks to Chwarel from Past Preservers for a great film.”
” I hope you enjoy this little film. As one of the greatest finds in British palaeontological history, the discovery deserves its own full documentary. Watch this space.”
Be sure to tune in, I certainly will be watching 🙂
